Acute Care Patient Transfer

Offering “one-call” admissions and transfers

When your patients need acute care that goes beyond what you can offer at your local hospital, Desert Regional Medical Center offers “one-call” intrahospital and interhospital transfers. Critical care transfer services are available 24 hours a day.

’One Call’ Admissions

With “one-call” admissions, it is easy for you to make centralized bed requests and assignments 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. When your patients present their “one-call” forms at the information desk, a dedicated escort will take them to their assigned beds. ’One Call’ Transfers

When your patients need acute care that goes beyond what you can offer at your local hospital, Desert Regional Medical Center offers “One Call”, an easy and fast way to coordinate inter-hospital transfers. Transfer services for Critical Care and all other services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

To arrange the transfer of your patient to Desert Regional Medical Center, please call (855) 997-7717.

To make the transfer smooth, please ensure the following information is sent with your patient:

  • EMTALA transfer form
  • Face sheet
  • Discharge summary
  • History and physical
  • Medicine list/allergy list
  • Lab results
  • Radiology results
  • Other pertinent medical records
