Accessibility Statement

We are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience. To do so, we are actively working with consultants to update the website by increasing its accessibility and usability by persons who use assistive technologies such as automated tools, keyboard-only navigation, and screen readers.

We are working to have the website conform to the relevant standards of the Section 508 Web Accessibility Standards developed by the United States Access Board, as well as the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1. These standards and guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities. We believe that conformance with these standards and guidelines will help make the website more user friendly for all people.

Our efforts are ongoing. While we strive to have the website adhere to these guidelines and standards, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website. If, at any time, you have specific questions or concerns about the accessibility of any particular webpage, please contact so that we may be of assistance.

Thank you. We hope you enjoy using our website.

Extraordinary Care for Mothers and Newborns

Having a baby is one of life’s most joyous events. At any of our three Desert Care Network hospitals, you can be sure that the health of you and your baby is emphasized at every step along the way – from the first days of your pregnancy, to labor and delivery and even after you’re home with your newborn.

Within our network, we provide:

  • Full labor and delivery departments at all three Desert Care Network hospitals
  • The Coachella Valley’s Only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for premature infants and those who need specialized medical care
  • Private rooms at Desert Regional Medical Center and Hi-Desert Medical Center
  • A Healthy Beginnings program offering prenatal, childbirth, breastfeeding and newborn care classes
  • A Maternal Fetal Medicine Center for care and monitoring of high-risk pregnancies

COVID-19 Information

We know that parents have many questions about safety and visitation during delivery at this time. All of our hospitals are taking extraordinary measures to ensure your safety. These include:

  • Mandatory masks for all staff and patients
  • Screenings for all staff and patients upon arrival to the unit
  • Guarantee of one partner or support person during delivery and hospital stay (if asymptomatic)
  • Specialized isolation rooms for COVID-positive deliveries and patients that are in a separate location and have separate staff
  • A commitment to providing even more compassionate, friendly and welcoming care to our patients during this time when friends and family cannot visit
