A Legacy of Caring for the Desert Community

Desert Care Network serves as a trusted healthcare resource for the Coachella Valley and Morongo Basin. It includes three hospitals: Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, JFK Memorial Hospital in Indio and Hi-Desert Medical Center in Joshua Tree. Together, these hospitals provide coordinated, compassionate care to locals and visitors.

Desert Regional operates a Level 1 Trauma Center, the highest designation, while JFK and Hi-Desert each operate Level 4 Trauma Centers. The network also maintains a system of stroke-ready hospitals anchored by Desert Regional, the only DNV-accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center in the region. It is supported by JFK’s Primary Stroke Center and Hi-Desert’s Stroke-Ready Hospital.

Desert Regional is home to the only Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in the Coachella Valley and a hospital-based clinic providing high-risk maternity care.

The Comprehensive Cancer Center provides convenient and advanced resources and services for cancer with diagnosis, treatment and coordination of care under one roof.

Each year, Desert Care Network provides over $100 million in free and discounted care to patients in need. For more than 30 years, it has also contributed millions of dollars in charitable donations and sponsorships to local organizations including DAP Health, FIND Food Bank, Women Leaders Forum and Volunteers in Medicine.

Desert Care Network remains committed to the health and well-being of the Coachella Valley, the Morongo Basin and everyone who calls the desert home.
