Mischelle’s Breast Cancer Story
When Mischelle Avalos was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer, she didn't think 'Why me?' Instead, she thought: "I'm in for the ride of my life." Avalos received care at the Comprehensive Cancer Center in Palm Springs. She was able to continue her work at the Animal Shelter during her treatments and is now back to working full-time with the animals she loves. "At the end of the day, you have to be passionate about something," she said.
