Luanne Carlson, DO

Luanne Carlson, DO, FAAFP is a Board Certified Family Medicine physician and part of the faculty practice of the Desert Regional Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program. Her career has included caring for patients while teaching medical students and resident physicians in the hospital, primary care and urgent care settings. Dr. Carlson is known for her attention to detail and her willingness to always listen to patient issues and concerns. She enjoys treating patients of all ages, from newborns to the elderly and teaching the next generation of family physicians to thrive in our rapidly changing health care environment. Dr. Carlson was chosen by the resident physicians of UCR School of Medicine Family Medicine Residency, Palm Springs, CA as the Faculty of the Year Award in 2017. Dr. Carlson received her undergraduate degree from California State University in Fullerton, CA and earned her medical degree from Touro University California. She completed her internship and residency in family medicine at Mercy/Methodist Hospital in Sacramento, California, serving as Chief Resident and recipient of the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine (STFM) Resident Teacher Award. Dr. Carlson has professional associations with the American Academy of Family Physicians, the California Academy of Family Physicians, the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, the Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons of California, the American Medical Association and the American Osteopathic Association. Dr. Carlson is accepting new patients and most major insurance plans.
