Fri June 12, 2026

Join us for the 2026 Desert Regional Medical Center Graduate Medical Education (GME) graduation ceremony on Friday, June 12, at the Palm Springs Air Museum, 745 N. Gene Autry Trail. Opening remarks will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Palm Springs, CA  — Desert Regional Medical Center, part of Desert Care Network, will celebrate the graduation of its 2026 Graduate Medical Education (GME) class, honoring 33 physicians across multiple specialties including Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Surgical Critical Care, Emergency Ultrasound and the Transitional Year Program.

Graduating this year include 11 residents in Emergency Medicine, 11 in Family Medicine, eight in the Transitional Year Program, and two fellows in Surgical Critical Care and one in Emergency Ultrasound. The ceremony will celebrate their achievements and contributions as they advance in their careers — three pursuing specialized fellowships, eight matching into leading advanced programs, and many remaining in the Coachella Valley to continue serving the community through clinical practice and ongoing training.

Desert Regional’s GME programs play a vital role in developing highly skilled physicians while helping to address regional and national healthcare needs. By retaining talent within the Coachella Valley, the program contributes to improving access to high-quality care for local residents.

“We are proud to graduate another exceptional class of physicians who have demonstrated dedication to patient care and clinical excellence,” said Cristin Hart, Designated Institutional Officer. “Their commitment to advancing medicine and serving communities reflects the mission and values of our institution.”

The graduation ceremony will take place at the Palm Springs Air Museum, recognizing the achievements of these physicians and celebrating their contributions to the future of healthcare.

“We are proud of the accomplishments of our 2026 graduates and the dedication they have demonstrated throughout their training,” said Dr. William Brien, keynote speaker and Chief

Medical Officer for Desert Regional Medical Center. “It is especially meaningful to see members of this class choose to remain in the Coachella Valley to continue their work in patient care. From the outset, our graduate medical education program has been focused on strengthening the local physician workforce, and these physicians play an important role in advancing access to high-quality healthcare across our region.”
