Center for Weight Management moves into larger location to serve growing demand for medically managed weight loss services

Palm Springs, CA – The Center for Weight Management will host an Open House to celebrate a spacious, new location in the El Mirador Medical Plaza, 1180 N. Indian Canyon Dr., Ste. E419, Palm Springs.

The free event takes place from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, July 18. Remarks begin at 4:15 p.m. Obesity medicine specialists, hospital officials and patients, will be on hand to answer questions and share stories of weight management journeys to a healthier lifestyle.

“We look forward to introducing the public to a center that meets growing patient demand in a modern, aesthetically pleasing space,” said Rachel Millard, DNP, Director, Center for Weight Management.

The Center for Weight Management has nearly tripled in size from its previous location in the Jerry Stergios Building to comfortably accommodate patients and allow for growth. Today, the team sees up to 600 patients a month in its 2,300-square-foot clinic, up from less than 100 patients only five years ago.

“The number of patients we serve has been rising, in part from media attention on how sustainable weight loss through a supervised program with a team of bariatric specialists can help patients change to a healthier diet and lifestyle,” Millard said.

The new space features a spacious waiting room, four exam rooms, three offices and a nurse’s station. Exam room additions mean staff can handle multiple visits and provide patients with IV hydrations, weight management injections and consultation in their own dedicated space.

“We can hold support group and weight management classes in our offices,” Millard said. “An added feature is improved parking options in the El Mirador Medical Plaza parking garage.”
