Mammo Mondays Extended Hours at the Comprehensive Cancer Center

For the month of October we are having extended hours to accommodate busy schedules! On Mondays you can schedule your breast cancer screening from 8 am to 6 pm in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Don’t forget your mammogram

Regular checkups and mammograms, especially after age 40, are an important way to keep your body healthy. The main goal of breast exams and mammograms is to detect breast cancer in its earliest stages. Desert Care Network’s Comprehensive Breast Center specializes in breast health:

• Our surgeons, oncologists and specialists have a background in breast cancer management
• We offer mammography, oncology and lymphedema therapy
• Locations in Palm Springs and La Quinta provide diagnostic imaging and treatment

The discovery of a lump in your breast can be very frightening. But not all lumps found in the breasts are malignant, or cancerous. Many may be a benign breast condition, such as fibrocystic breast disease, an overarching term that is characterized by pain in the breast and cysts. Only a mammogram and a doctor can diagnose the issue. At Desert Care Network, we offer mammography services at our Comprehensive Cancer Center diagnostic imaging centers  to help you get a diagnosis fast and conveniently.

I’ve been diagnosed with breast cancer, now what?

Stay calm. Women with breast cancer have a better chance of surviving than ever before, thanks to the modern diagnostic techniques and treatments. After a breast cancer diagnosis, our team of experienced breast health physicians, nurses and other specialists will provide you with a treatment program. Desert Care Network offers advanced oncology treatments as well as lymphedema therapy at many of our in-network facilities.
