Dr. Jessica Shields is a fellowship-trained neurosurgeon. She received her MD/PhD degree and completed her neurosurgery residency at Louisiana State University in New Orleans, LA. Her PhD research focused on non invasive brain stimulation and she spent a year at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), completing a prestigious research fellowship. Dr. Shields takes a collaborative approach with her patients, working with each patient’s goals as a top priority in determining treatment plans. She is devoted to providing compassionate, comprehensive care with special interests in deep brain stimulation, cervical spine surgery, cranial surgery and spine trauma. Outside the office, Dr. Shields enjoys spending time with family, hiking, swimming and cooking.
