Programs from support to exercise

At the Comprehensive Cancer Center, we want you to know you aren’t alone in your fight against cancer. That’s why we provide support groups and other complementary therapy options, including yoga, art and photography classes to help you stay centered. Desert Care Network’s Comprehensive Cancer Center provides a variety of health education classes and community events for you and your loved ones. Here is a sampling of the offerings:

Adaptive Yoga

These classes allow patients with physical limitations to experience the benefits of exercise. Family members are also welcome. Classes are held on Mondays, 10-11 a.m. CCC 3rd floor conference room. $5 per session. RSVP: (760) 416-4864.  

New Patient Orientation Luncheon

Held monthly, this is a chance to learn about the many services offered through our Comprehensive Cancer Center. Registration required. (760) 416-4802.

Art Therapy Program

Learn about the benefits of art in coping with cancer. Patients and family members have the opportunity to complete a small art project. No art experience necessary and materials are included. Information:

Complementary Medicine Program

Our program offers a variety of complementary medicine modalities including Chinese Medicine, chiropractic, nutrition, education on herbs/supplements, biofeedback, spiritual counseling and physical strengthening/rehabilitation. Information: (760) 416-4834.

Lenscape Project

Using photography, patients can create meaningful works of art to chronicle their cancer experience and express themselves. No photography experience required and materials are provided. Information:(760) 416-4834.
