George’s Atrial Fibrillation Story
Outrunning AFib - A Success Story
George Gust never thought he would get Atrial Fibrillation. A lifelong runner and athlete, he assumed that his family history would never catch up with him. When he was diagnosed, the impact was life-altering. "It was a huge compromise on my life," he said. Drug therapy didn't work for him, and after two failed ablations he came to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs.
Equipped with some of the latest technology and expert clinicians, the hospital helped him to finally tackle his AFIB. Today, Gust is back out on the trail—running, biking, hiking and living the life he loves.
