JOSHUA TREE, Calif. – November 28, 2018 – During the month of November, the Hi-Desert Medical Center (HDMC) Patient PEP Squad hosted a hospital-wide Thanksgiving Food Drive, benefitting Black Rock High School as well as Unity Home, an organization that supports victims of domestic violence. Additionally, employees of HDMC and the Continuing Care Center nominated fellow employees to also be some recipients of these delicious baskets.

“I continue to be amazed by the generous spirit of our employees,” said Karen Faulis, CEO of Hi-Desert Medical Center. “It’s great to work with a team that gives their all to looking after our patients in the hospital and members of our community outside of the hospital.”

Employees of HDMC generously donated more than 200 items, consisting of non-perishable food and frozen turkeys, to create 10 boxes that were distributed to members of the community on November 20.
