When Handshakes Hurt
Feb 8, 2017Treatment Options for Pain in the Hand and Wrist
Join Dr. Pooyan for this Informative Lecture on February 21
Reaching, grabbing, writing, driving, lifting, or clicking a mouse – all seemingly simple daily activities and many, many more are only possible because of the versatility and flexibility of the many joints, bones, muscles and tendons that comprise the hand and wrist. The intricate and mobile design of these body parts, coupled with the use and abuse sustained each day, can make this region of the body highly susceptible to injury.
Dr. Ramin Pooyan, a hand and upper extremity specialist with the Institute of Clinical Orthopedics and Neurosciences at Desert Regional, will give a talk on treatment options for pain in the hand and wrist. Common causes are arthritis, sport injuries and overuse from repetitive activities.
In addition to arthritis, Dr. Pooyan will discuss other common hand and wrist conditions at the seminar, including carpal tunnel syndrome, tendonitis, Dupuytren’s contracture and mallet finger. To attend this seminar, click here to register or call (800) 491-4990.
