JFK Memorial Hospital Attains Accreditation as a Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology

Mar 8, 2019

INDIO, Calif, – March 8, 2019 – JFK Memorial Hospital today announced it has achieved accreditation as a Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology by Surgical Review Corporation (SRC). Accreditation as a Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology distinguishes JFK Memorial Hospital from many other facilities by providing the highest quality of care to its patients as determined by an independent, external process of evaluation.

Status as an accredited Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology means JFK Memorial Hospital has met nationally recognized standards. Not all surgeons and hospitals seek accreditation; not all that undergo the rigorous on-site inspection process are granted accreditation.

“I’m very proud to announce that JFK Memorial Hospital is now nationally recognized as a Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology,” said Gary Honts, CEO of JFK Memorial Hospital. “We are proud of the culture of excellence we have developed at JFK, and this accreditation underscores our commitment to quality improvement and patient safety.

Healthcare organizations and surgeons seeking accreditation by SRC undergo an extensive self-assessment and on-site inspection. This process includes physicians, nurses, and administrators who are actively involved in the accredited program. The inspection is consultative and educational, presenting best practices to help an organization improve its care and services.
