Hi-Desert Medical Center and Hi-Desert Cultural Center to Host Art Exhibit Reception

Oct 26, 2018

JOSHUA TREE, Calif. – October 26, 2018 – Hi-Desert Medical Center and Hi-Desert Cultural Center will host an opening reception for the Medical Center’s newest art exhibits that feature photography and paintings from area artists in their rotating galleries located on the hospital campus.

The public reception will be held Tuesday, November 13, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the main hospital lobby. Featuring works by esteemed local artists Tami Roleff, Hannah Campbell, Karan Murphy and James E. Thompson, this show will include galleries in the Emergency Department, Nurses Station, Main Lobby, and in the Desert Breeze Café. These art galleries not only provide comfort and peace to the patients and staff of Hi-Desert Medical Center, but also benefit the community as we celebrate local art. The community is invited to attend the free reception, tour the new galleries, and meet the featured artists along with representatives from the Medical Center and Cultural Center. Light refreshments will be served.

In the spirit of community partnering, the hospital galleries are curated by theARTISTS of the Hi-Desert Cultural Center. All artwork is available for sale and portions of all proceeds go to provide local student scholarships through the VolunTeen program at Hi-Desert Medical Center as well as benefit the educational youth scholarship programs at Hi-Desert Cultural Center. All art and sculpture is available for purchase online at www.hidesertculturalcenter.org/shop.
