Hi-Desert Medical Center and Hi-Desert Cultural Center Presents the Art in Healing Gallery Public Reception

Joshua Tree, CA—The Hi-Desert Medical Center and Hi-Desert Cultural Center will host an opening reception for the Medical Center’s newest art exhibits that feature fine art  from area artists in their rotating galleries located on the hospital campus.  The public reception will be held Friday, July 15, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the main hospital lobby.  Featuring works by esteemed local artists Art Mortimer, Kathi Klopfenstein, Gary Mergelkamp, and Elizabeth Pollnow.  The community is invited to attend, tour the new galleries, and meet the featured artists along with representatives from the Medical Center and Cultural Center. Light refreshments will be served.  

In the spirit of community partnering, the hospital galleries are curated by theARTISTS of the Hi-Desert Cultural Center.  All artwork is available for sale with a portion of proceeds from the sales directly benefiting the Morongo Basin Healthcare District Foundation and Hi-Desert Cultural Center.  All art and sculpture is also available for purchase online at www.hidesertculturalcenter.org/shop.

Hi‑Desert Medical Center is composed of 179 licensed beds: the 59‑bed primary care hospital and the Continuing Care Center, a 120‑bed skilled nursing facility on the medical center’s campus. Hi‑Desert Medical Center also provides a wide range of quality inpatient and outpatient diagnostic, treatment and rehabilitation services, and operates the Airway Outpatient Center – a full-service surgery and diagnostic center, behavioral health services, home health and hospice, outpatient rehabilitation, and a variety of community education and outreach services.
