Continuing Care Center Joshua Tree Rotary Welcomes Rotary Governor Rudy Westervelt

Sep 26, 2019

Joshua Tree, CA–The Continuing Care Center Joshua Tree Rotary Club, District 5330, had their first official meeting on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 held at the Continuing Care Center. Hi-Desert Medical Center invites media to attend the Continuing Care Center on Wednesday, February 10, at 10:00 a.m. where Rotary Governor Rudy Westervelt will welcome the residents of the CCC into Rotary District 5330.

“The resident’s eyes lit up when our first meeting began! They are so excited to give back to their community in this way. By joining this rotary, they know they are a part of something larger to evoke positive change where they live and to partner with other local Rotarians,” says Michelle Amdahl, Continuing Care Center Administrator. Michelle expects the number of members to grow as residents continue to find out about this exciting new opportunity.

HDMC’s Interim Chief Executive Officer, Randy Kelley says “As a Rotarian since 1997, I’m thrilled to see our Continuing Care Center establish this new Rotary Club. We believe this is the first club in a skilled nursing facility anywhere in the country and know our residents will look forward to the club’s weekly meetings and find a unique purpose in becoming part of Rotary!” Hi-Desert Medical Center’s leadership team would like to thank all involved in achieving this milestone for the Continuing Care Center.
