Dr. Peter Jamieson is a board-certified General Surgeon and Chief of Surgery at Desert Regional Medical Center. Throughout his career, he has received numerous awards and recognition for his leadership and contributions in the uniformed service and medical arenas. Dr. Jameison is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery. He strives to provide the highest level of individualized care to all patients, and he is most proud when his patients improve post operatively, heal over time, and return to their everyday lives. Outside the office, Dr. Jamieson enjoys spending time with family, playing golf, and being an active member of his church and community.

Because we had problems coming down from Yua Valley, a number of roads were closed because of wind, we were going to be late. We called and they kindly understood and said they would see us when we got there.. Even when we got there we couldn't find the office, we again called, and a lovely young lady came down and met us as we got out of our car and approached the building and escorted us to the office. This is a bsolutely the kindness gesture I have ever received in my 82 years. Thank you for a wonderful staff.

Dr Jamieson and his group working with him are by far the best people I have ever worked with. When Dr Jamieson found out that I had lost 35 lbs in 6 weeks because I was unable to eat and it took 6 weeks to get into my primary he had me in his office the next day. They are all amazing. First time I've ever had a doctor I was actually happy to go see. Love them all!

I am not sure if it was the time of day, the fact that there was a recent bombing across the street, or if this is just a maticulously run facility, but from the moment I arrived, I was taken back to registration within 3 minutes of signing in. Everyone from the greeting staff to registration staff were friendly, informative and made me feel at ease. I was walked back to the surgical waiting area immediately after registration was complete and didn't wait one minute before nurses verified my identity, made corrections, double checked information and I am not kidding, this was the least painful IV ever! This nurse was in and out before I knew what she was doing. Teamwork between the nursing staff was on point and made every effort to ensure comfort, warmth and dignity, not just for me, but for the many other patients in this area, some in need of language translation, difficulty with surgical gowns, anxiety, hearing impaired and trouble walking to and from the restroom. Extremely impressed.

This is my third surgery performed by Dr. Peter Jamieson. He is the ONLY surgeon that will ever operate on me. His professionalism, his sense of humor, his surgical team, front office staff, and his nurses are unsurpassed and go each member of this team goes above and beyond to provide proper pre and post op instruction, and most of all kindness and compassion for every patient I have chatted with over the years while sitting in Dr. Jamieson's waiting area or in the hospital's surgical staging areas. Everyone takes exceptional care and again, this is the only surgeon for me! I cannot thank him enough!

I have already recommended Dr. Jamieson to family and friends. Everyone is aware that Cindy, and the rest of Dr. Jamieson's office staff are empathetic, compassionate and never forget you. They take time to actively listen, so much so that they remember my family by name even my dog. I have never EVER been this impressed with a medical/surgical office. Only my primary care physician at Desert Oasis Healthcare can compare because he too has taken the time to get to know patients beyond the clinical requirements.

I'll say it again. No other surgeon will ever operate on me or my family. If a specialist is required, I will recommend that Dr. Jamieson be part of the surgical team. My family and I have had many surgeries over the years and no one has ever made us feel this confident, safe and if you could see the last three surgeries he performed on me, you'll notice, not a single scar visible without magnification. Unbelievable!
